Live Below the Line

Live Below the Line is an incredible new awareness and fundraising campaign that's making a huge difference in the fight against extreme poverty.
Quite simply, it allows thousands of people across the world to better understand the daily challenges faced by those trapped in the cycle of extreme poverty, and builds a movement of passionate people willing and able to make a meaningful difference for those who need it most.
The week of Live Below the Line is a week like no other. From May 7th - 11th, more than twenty thousand people across the Global North will spend their equivalent of the extreme poverty line each day on food, and use their daily experiences to bring extreme poverty to the centre of conversation in homes around the world.

Why I'm taking the challenge
Sophie McAulay

I feel passionate about ending extreme poverty in our lifetimes! It is not acceptable to live in a world where it exists and not be striving everyday to eradicate it. I have been working on the NSW Live Below the Line team this year in an effort to help make the campaign bigger and better than last year. We hope to raise awareness about the sheer numbers of people living in extreme poverty, and raise funds for education projects which will help children break out of the cycle of poverty.
